ABOUT AFROBODEGA

AfroBodega is a sustainable BIPOC art collective based in Berlin since 2023. Bodega reshapes black cultural narratives through monthly fashion presentations/ workshops/ popups, as a means of empowering it’s community. By only working with donated/ self-produced fabrics every piece has its own storytelling and an elevated value from the black hands sewing each thread.

The collective uses fashion to center pride, identity, and resistance, while building space for collaboration and storytelling. We are powerful and essential, we simply express that through fabrics and unapologetically cultured visuals. 
BODEGA is inclusive of all people who take part in our shared story of governmental and social prejudice. Our communities purpose is to forcibly integrate a safe space for our people. Basically we wanna scare people using fashion because they’re already acting scared of us.
