Collection: AMO SS24

The 2024 AFROBODEGA Spring Summer collection titled ‘AMO’ sheds light upon the story of Germany’s first black philosopher/educator ‘Anton Wilhelm Amo’. The theme acts as a base for the exploration of black excellence and timelessness within Germany’s 1800s ‘high class’ society. 

Through implementing researched silhouettes, a conversation between provocative designs and bourgeoisie detailing forms the story of the SS24 ‘AMO’ runway collection.

As a collective we wish to address the connection between black excellence flourishing in racially rejective contexts, and how that develops into a societal performance.
